We will ride fast
We Will Ride Fast is the musical manifestation of New Zealand multi media artist Kyle Sattler, formally the bassist and vocalist of New Zealand sonic punks Frayden. Now Tauranga based, We Will Ride Fast is aligned to Auckland's obscure Fight Cave or Hole Records and is expecting to release their second full-length album 'The Maelstrom', both digitally and on limited edition lathe cut vinyl in February 2019 after earlier releases 'We will ride fast', 2015 and the 2017 EP, 'Blood from our human stone'. In 2018, Sattler joined forces with Hemordroid bassist Simon Fritchley (on lead and rhythm guitar) where together they merge Sattler's extensive and hypnotic moving image catalog into a cacophonic sonic live spectacle. We Will Ride Fasts Alt Pop sound has been described as a mix of "distorted, yet twisted and creepy vocals in a sea of reverberating synths twinkling and dancing above the contained melodic chaos below. Nostalgic, melodic and emotive, We Will Ride Fast conveys a deep, provoking message as well as creating something instrumentally interesting". Dom Eagle, 2016

Miho's Jazz Orchestra
Miho’s Jazz Orchestra (MJO) has had a remarkable journey since it’s inception in 2011. Formed as a one off recording project to help raise funds for Miho’s New Zealand home town of Christchurch after the earthquakes, the band ended up having so much fun they decided to continue performing and making music. 6 albums, 2 E.p's. [one recorded at Sun studios in Memphis] and tours of Australia, New Zealand, Japan and the States later they are here to release their brand new album Accidental Journey, an apt title for a band that started so haphazardly. MJO has charted numerous times in the NZ album charts, reaching #10 showing with “Bumpy Road” in 2015 and #8 with "Accidental Journey" in 2018. Quite a feat for a J-Pop, Cubano, Pacific infused Jazz instrumental ensemble! Miho’s unique style choices and open storytelling stage presence evoke the fun and mischievous mix of flavours in her music. MJO’s exciting exploration of different genres has lead to sold out shows, headline spots in festivals and much acclaim.

Vocal Chords - Healthcare Workers Choir
Vocal Chords is a choir based in Tauranga, originally formed as an innovative way for people working in all forms of healthcare around Tauranga to network in a fun, creative way. We specialize in recent pop music and classic floor-fillers, in deliberate contrast to other very skilled local choirs who work with traditional classical and church music. We are now open to all members of the public who wish to sing and perform multiple times a year as entertainment at conferences and events. While we always do a Friends and Family Concert every year, we like to think of ourselves as a gigging choir, and enjoy being associated with other organized activities, hopefully taking choral music TO the people, rather than making them come to us. Recent repertoire has included arrangements of Bruno Mars, Sam Smith, Earth, Wind and Fire, Sting, U2, Motown, Stevie Wonder, Abba and the Beatles; but we are open to a huge variety of popular-style music. We usually like to see people dancing to our singing, so choose repertoire that is lively and soulful. We meet every Thursday, 7pm at the Conference Room at Tauranga Hospital. We welcome all people, from all jobs, all walks of life, and our core age group is 35-55 years.

Parabola West
Keys-driven singer-songwriter with a mixture of folk and electronic soundscapes.
Parabola West is an artist who cuts straight to the heart with her crystal vocals and layered melodies. Drawing inspiration from Nordic folk roots, electronica, and organic sounds, this Raglan-based artist is evolving into a soundscape storyteller.
“Music, to me, is a vital creative outlet where meaning and stories are expressed and where I give myself permission to be as I feel. Even as a little girl growing up on the east coast of America, I longed to be a performer and was fascinated by music’s impact on our lives and memories. I come from a very musical family and singing together was a very natural thing we did.”

Redwood Trail
Americana Outsider folk.Redwood Trail – Six musicians who got together under the light of the full moon in lonesome October to record a collection of songs that are at once intimate and engaging. Recorded live in one evening session this music has an honesty and directness that draws the listener in. All individually accomplished musicians, they got together to collaborate on some songs written by songwriter Brad Taylor. Influenced by classic artists such as Bob Dylan and Neil Young as well as more contemporary acts Iron and Wine, and Ray Lamontagne their music can only be described as Alt Folk.
Listening to Redwood Trail highlights the groups instinctive feel for music and melody; one that allows them to emote stories of love, loss, faith, or the absence of it, that are at once personal and universal, set to music that is both haunting and timeless.
