About the event

Garry Osborn is a professional artist with a lifelong interest in contemporary art and jazz. Many of the paintings exhibited in this show are a fusion of the two subjects. Garry lives in a stunning area  of The Bay of Plenty and has a long-established practice of teaching and critiquing art.  As a jazzman Garry uses his imagination to approach the abstraction of painting and his improvements in paint; to play his solos.

Jim Duncan has been an artist for 7 decades and is now a leading painter in contemporary acrylics, from his studio in the Bay of Plenty. In this exhibition he will present a large variety of New Zealand based subject matter for your perusal.  Covering many historical locations graphically in beautiful acrylics, his range of mainly New Zealand subject matter is presented in a pleasing variety of styles, with a wry sense of humour.

Opening preview Friday 15th  March, 5.30pm to 7.00pm Everyone welcome.

On display in The People's Gallery Toi   ka rere from the 16th March to the 6th April 2024. Open   10am - 3pm Monday to Saturday.
