The Incubator Creative Hub at the Historic Village has two weeks of creative adventures for Tamariki /Children and Whānau/Families this October — and there's something at every price point, including free.

Week one kicks off with a bang at the Jam Factory with the School'd DJ Academy, followed by a trip to the Village Cinema for The Magic Faraway Tree. Get creative with Mixed Media Native Birds and a Petite Vase & Flowers workshop with Emma Prill. Learn a new skill with our Face Painting session, and finish the week with a classic family film, 101 Dalmatians.

Week two dives into the deep with Underwater Creature Crafts, before a special screening of Hugo at the Village Cinema. Create your own Foxy masterpiece with Claire Delaney McLeary, then enjoy the animated adventure Fantastic Mr Fox. The holidays wrap up with a high-energy Kids Dance Party with Alice Sea & DJ Tāizac at the Jam Factory — a perfect finale for your little movers and shakers.

We have a special free drop-in activity in the Incubator Gallery, where the whole whanau can engage with our current art installations and get creative with a hands-on project - programming an LED light ring - part of the Young at Heart Festival. Plus, don't miss the chance to be part of the CONESTRUCTION ZONE, a call for submissions open to all ages until 17 October.
