About the event

Both Suzy Granger and Emma Davie have found a language to communicate their love of how nature settles them in life. They found each other through mutual connections and shared a merged interest in how life with nature feels and influences their creativity. The work was created with continual meetings and reflections ensuring the conversation was flowing and complementing the narrative.


Through brushstroke and sculpted earth, the exhibition reflects on the natural world’s rhythms, resilience, and fragility. Inspired by landscapes, the waterways and their inhabitants, these works converge in a dialogue that speaks to the permanence and impermanence of nature. In this meeting of materials and perspectives, confluence invites viewers to consider their own relationship with the environment.


Emma:

My approach to painting is deeply intuitive and emotive, focusing on the subconscious connection between myself, the landscape, and the viewer. By allowing my paintings to emerge spontaneously, without preconceived notions…
