Cringe Fest Poetry submissions

Cringe Fest turns poetry upside down.

Anyone who’s ever cringed at their own teenage attempts at oh-so-meaningful poetry will find themselves in uncomfortably familiar territory at this event! Cringe Fest will turn the poetry format on its head as performers compete for the lowest scores with the worst possible poems they can come up with.

The Worst Poet Wins! We don't mean bad, we mean hilariously terrible, laugh-out-loud embarrassing, entertainingly cringe-worthy poetry so awful that it transcends quality – becoming genius.

The rules around this are nice and simple:

- Leave your hate at the gate

- Your offence at the fence

- This is a fun event where laughter rules

- Each performer gets a maximum of 3 minutes

- You can use some or all of that time, the choice is yours

Judges verdict is final. Judges will be selected from the audience, so please bring your mates and get ready to groan.
