Bay of Plenty Indonesian Community Inc. and LieN Batik present - Batik workshop and Angklung showcase
Come and share in this special one day event at the Creative Campus, rich in creativity and culture! A two part workshop for you to learn traditional Indonesian art forms.
Begin in the Creative Campus, learn Indonesian Batik making - Batik Tulis - then continue with the Colet technique to bring out the colours in your own handmade Batik cloth. Following your Batik session, head to The Jam Factory to join in with an Angklung showcase. Angklung is a traditional Indonesian wind instrument made from varying lengths of bamboo tubes on a bamboo frame.
