Bay of Plenty Indonesian Community Inc. and LieN Batik present - Batik workshop and Angklung showcase
Come and share in this special one day event at the Creative Campus, rich in creativity and culture! A two part workshop for you to learn traditional Indonesian art forms.
Begin your session with an Angklung showcase in the Jam Factory. Angklung is a traditional Indonesian wind instrument made from varying lengths of bamboo tubes on a bamboo frame. Then, head over to the Creative Campus to learn Indonesian Batik making - Batik Tulis - then, continue with the Colet technique to bring out the colours in your own handmade Batik cloth
