About the event
The Incubator All About ART Sunday Arts documentary programme returns in May celebrating NZ Music Month with Marlon Williams: Ngā Ao E Rua - Two Worlds - an intimate behind the scenes glimpse of internationally recognised musician Marlon Williams (Ngāi Tahu, Ngāi Tai).
Directed by Ursula Grace Williams, the film captures Marlon Williams’ different worlds, from international touring and recording the album, to the unassuming quiet life in his hometown of Ōhinehou (Lyttelton). All whilst revealing the deeply personal four-year journey of reconnection and self-identity behind writing and recording Williams' first album in te reo Māori and the personal challenges he faced along the way.
"Ngā Ao E Rua– Two Worlds is an intimate and evocative portrait of Williams, whose life and music walk the line between language, culture, identity and art" - Coco Lance RNZ
