About the event
She often finds the starting point for her visual storytelling in her surrealist paintings. For this exhibition, she has created a body of work inspired by snapshots of ideas she has collected over the past few years.
Commenting on a recent win Isabelle shared an insight into her work “Two years ago I experienced life at its uttermost stillness and then won an award at the Emerging Artist Awards 2025, the theme of which was "Life out Loud". Wow, what a turnaround! My work “Leap of Faith” was selected for the Adison Award.
Isabelle Mathys holds both a Bachelor and a Master of Arts in Fine Arts from the Lucerne School of Arts and Design in Switzerland, where she studied from 2005 to 2012.
