About the event
This is the final Tauranga Opera Forum screening for 2023 (dont worry, they'll be back in 2024!), at The Village Community Cinema. An event not to be missed for lovers of opera and novices alike, Falstaff is a comedic opera in three acts by the Italian composer Guiseppe Verdi, at The Metropolitan Opera.
Verdi’s glorious Shakespearean comedy, FALSTAFF, features a brilliant ensemble cast in Robert Carsen’s celebrated staging. Baritone Michael Volle sings his first Verdi role at the Met as the caddish knight Falstaff, gleefully tormented by a trio of clever women who deliver his comeuppance.
