Nominated for 6 Academy Awards, CAROL is a 2015 historical romantic drama, based on Patricia Highsmith's 1952 novel The Price of Salt. Starring Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara, the film portrays a passionate, forbidden romance that will forever change their lives, between an older woman navigating a difficult divorce and a young aspiring photographer in 1950s New York.
