About the event

The Afrolites are a groove heavy jazz-funk band from Tauranga, NZ. Their vibe has transmuted over the years into a psychedelic jam monster dripping with cinematic flavour. Regulars at the National Jazz and always keen to start a dance party they released an album in 2022 and have continue to create new music and are close to finalising another album of original material. Moving Forces of Society (MFOS) is a trailblazing new ensemble formed in 2023 that showcases the vibrant, cosmopolitan alternative music scene thriving in Tauranga 🎸🔥Formed by locals Pablo Cordoba, Akash Dutta, and Tyrone Dyer, MFOS is a representation of the multicultural population of this city. Combining jazz-funk with electronic synthwave, Latin-American rhythms, and South-Asian modality.

"DROSAN is a creative collective created in 2022 with a passion for

exploration and boundary-pushing, dedicated to leaving a lasting impact on the global jazz scene. Led Argentine musicians Federico Monzon and Pablo Cordoba DROSAN seamlessly blends influences from Argentina with the modern sounds of jazz."
